Brisbane Window Furnishings, Backed By Experience

At CBD Blinds, we believe choosing window furnishings should feel exciting, not overwhelming.

From our Luxaflex Gallery showroom in Milton, we help Brisbane homeowners find the right blinds, curtains, shutters and awnings for their home, taking into account everything from style and colour to privacy, light, heat and how each room is used.

Experience makes a difference

Our team brings decades of experience across interior design, soft furnishings and the window covering industry, so you’re not simply choosing from a catalogue. You’re getting practical, knowledgeable advice from people who understand how the right window furnishings can completely change the way a space looks and feels.

Whether you’re working on one room, renovating your home or selecting window furnishings for a new build, we’re here to make the process easier from the very beginning.

There’s a lot more to choosing window furnishings than finding a fabric or colour you like. Different rooms need different solutions. Bedrooms may need greater light control and privacy. Living areas may benefit from soft, filtered natural light. Western-facing windows often need help managing Brisbane’s heat and glare, while large doors and outdoor areas can require completely different products again. That’s where experience matters.

Our team has extensive knowledge across custom blinds, curtains, shutters, awnings and motorised window furnishings. We’ll talk through what you need from the space, explain the options clearly and help you find a solution that works both practically and visually.

For us, the details matter. From the way a fabric falls to the position of a blind, the amount of light entering a room and how different window furnishings work together, every element plays a part in the finished result.

Meet the team behind

CBD BLINDS

Meet Melissa

Melissa brings more than 30 years of interior design and soft furnishings experience to CBD Blinds. Her love of interiors began long before it became a career. Growing up around her family’s soft furnishings business gave Melissa an early appreciation for fabrics, colour, craftsmanship and the way small design details can change a room.
She later began her professional career in interior design, developing her experience across colour selections, space planning and residential specifications before moving further into curtains, blinds and custom window furnishings.
Melissa has worked within the Luxaflex network since 2012 and has an extensive understanding of the Luxaflex product range, from fabrics and soft shades through to blinds, curtains and automated solutions.
With a natural eye for colour and detail, Melissa loves helping clients bring all the elements of a room together. Her approach is personal and considered, balancing the way a window furnishing looks with how it needs to perform every day.

Meet Andrea

Andrea brings around 30 years of experience in the blinds and window furnishings industry to CBD Blinds, having worked across both wholesale and retail sides of the business.
Originally from the UK, Andrea made Australia home more than three decades ago and has since built a career around helping customers find practical, well-considered window covering solutions.
Her industry experience, combined with 12 years as a small business owner, means she understands the importance of good advice, attention to detail and genuinely looking after customers from the first conversation through to the finished installation.
Andrea particularly enjoys the personal side of working in a local business and the opportunity to work directly with clients throughout their project.
Away from the showroom, you’ll often find her at the beach, catching up with friends over a glass of wine or relaxing with a good book.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Quality product but more importantly the installation service was unbeatable. Couldn’t be completed more efficiently nor cleaned up more tidily after installation was complete

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Since Andrea has taken over this business it has excelled (approx 6-9 months). Her 'on the job' staff are skilled, knowledgeable and professional - they know their stuff. The phone contact is immediate and the staff at the other end are pleasant and efficient. Thanks to this business for upholding some of the old-style service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am extremely happy with the sheer curtains that Paul installed for me yesterday in my family room. Melissa as my first contact did a wonderful job of choosing samples and taking measurements and the whole process worked like clockwork with the finished product looking even better than I imagined. The curtains add so much warmth and coziness to what was previously a very open space and I would highly recommend their business for such a smooth, enjoyable experience.
